Full assembly

Pivot

  • M5 shoulder bolt, two MR106ZZ bearings
  • Sleeve and shims set the bearing spacing
  • Nylon-lock nut holds the preload

Rails

  • Two 4 mm rails, 300 mm long, 16 mm apart
  • End stops at both ends

Linkage

  • Hitec HS-5645MG servo, 32 mm horn
  • Rod ends at both joints
  • Joint 130 mm from the pivot, about 4:1
  • Preload spring against backlash

Sensor mount

  • VL53L1X on an arm at the sensor end
  • Nearest ball surface 47 mm (minimum range 40 mm)

Base and servo cage

  • Base plate and two uprights
  • Servo held in a plate cage below the beam
